The Brown Mountain Lights

I have a story that happened to me and my employee driving from Florida to North Carolina. It happened while I pulled over at 1130 PM and we had pulled over to see the brown mountain lights. Well, I walked over to the edge and seen a light right below us my employee ran back to the truck which was funny as hell he is a black guy that never traveled out of our town. He was scared as I turned to bark at him to get back out here and look at the orb, a Nissan Armada SUV pulled over to the where we were the weird thing was we had not seen another car for a long time and there were a bunch of designated overlook spots. So when they pulled in I could see the vehicle had at least 5 people in it and mostly adults maybe had a kid. There was an overhead light on so it wasn't to clear. They drove by and didn't stop and sped away. I stayed for 3 or 4 more mins, I returned to my truck and laughed at Ron for being a chicken. So we start driving to our destination and about 2 mins from the spot I go to drive around a bend and boom there they were the Nissan I had just scene they were in the middle of the road the SUV was empty. All around us, there were mountain walls we were in a cut where the mountain was about 80 foot straight up. I pulled in right behind the SUV all the doors were open it looked like they left in a hurry Ron refused to get out of the truck with me so I grabbed my pistol and got out. I started yelling for a response while taking my flashlight shining it all around. No response. I entered the SUV and it was running so I put it in drive and pulled it off the road. I was scared I felt a presence.  You hear people say that and laugh until that happens to you. I drove down the mountain slowly having Ron yell and I was shining my light looking around .what is weird was my GPS said we were a couple hrs from our destination but we got to a gas station that is 15 mins from our destination in mins it was strange. So I stopped at the gas station and we got out of the truck the gas station employees were standing at the front door staring at us we entered and they asked if we saw the bear. I was a little pissed they didn't give me a warning. So my phone wouldn't call out the whole way to the gas station so I asked them to call the cops. She wasn't even inquisitive at all I told her what just happened she made a weird smirk and handed me the phone. The cop showed up very quick almost to quick. He looked like a character out of every horror movie you know the cowboy cop? I told him what happened and without a hiccup, he said yeah it happens it up there he then pointed at the counter where there was a bunch of missing persons adds. He wrote my report and that was it. I got to the job site and my brother and our employees were all having fun so I joined in the festivities I told them what I saw and that was that. A day later I was laying down with the news on they talked about a missing family I swear it was them.
